Our story
Built on Real Industrial Experience.
But ECONS was not created around a theoretical business model. It was built on real industrial experience.
The people behind ECONS have spent their careers working with major equipment manufacturers, industrial groups and extrusion companies — developing projects, selecting technologies, negotiating investments, implementing equipment and improving operating plants.
This experience enables us to understand industrial projects from several perspectives:
A project seen from
- The Investor
- The Equipment Manufacturer
- The Plant Operator
- The Engineer
- The Commercial Decision-Maker
That combination is at the heart of ECONS.

Leadership
We Come from Industry. Not from a Consulting Desk.
ECONS is led by Amir Baili, a mechanical engineer with additional technical-management education in Germany and extensive international experience in extrusion technology and industrial investment projects.
His professional background includes senior responsibilities at major German industrial companies, including Salzgitter Mannesmann Stainless Tubes, where his responsibilities included investment coordination and technical support to the managing board, and SMS group, where he worked as Senior Sales Manager for extrusion lines.
That background matters. It means ECONS understands what happens before, during and after an industrial investment:
- How equipment is engineered.
- How suppliers calculate and negotiate projects.
- How specifications should be written.
- Where scope gaps hide.
- How interfaces create risk.
- What happens during installation and commissioning.
- And, most importantly, what the customer needs once the machine starts producing.
We Have Been on Both Sides of the Table.
That is one of the fundamental differences behind ECONS.

Global perspective
Global Experience. Local Understanding.
Extrusion is a global industry. Technologies may come from Europe, Asia or other manufacturing regions. Customers operate under different market conditions, labour structures, energy costs, product requirements and investment strategies.
ECONS combines international technology and supplier knowledge with an understanding of the realities inside operating extrusion plants — connecting global technology with local industrial requirements.

What we do
One Partner Across the Industrial Lifecycle.
Project Advisory
Make the Right Decisions Before Capital Is Committed.
We support owners and investors with feasibility, plant concepts, specifications, supplier selection, technical-commercial evaluation, CAPEX assessment, negotiation, project execution and operational readiness.
Our role is to represent the customer's interest and create transparency before major investment decisions are made.
Engineering
Understand the Process Before You Change the Process.
Our engineering activities combine industrial know-how, calculations, FEM-based analysis, process simulation and equipment engineering.
With developments such as coolEx, our extrusion cooling simulation platform, we are also bringing advanced engineering tools closer to practical production — helping plants understand temperature distribution, cooling strategies and process behaviour before relying on costly shop-floor trials.
Machines
Solutions Designed Around the Process.
ECONS supplies specialized equipment for modern extrusion plants and die shops.
Our machine portfolio includes solutions for:
- Die correction
- Die splitting
- Die assembly
- Die disassembly & butt cutting
- Die storage
- Profile rectification
- and other customized extrusion-related applications
The principle is always the same: engineered around your requirements — not forcing the customer into a predefined standard machine.
Tooling & Spares
Tooling That Performs. Spares That Keep You Running.
ECONS supplies critical extrusion tooling and spare parts such as:
- Extrusion containers
- Extrusion stems
- Critical wear components
- Machine-specific spare parts
- Customized tooling solutions
Components are selected and engineered according to the actual press, process and operating conditions — not treated merely as catalogue items.
Reliability & Performance Transformation
Turn Maintenance into Plant Performance.
We help aluminium extrusion plants move from reactive firefighting to predictable, high-performance operations.
Our approach goes far beyond traditional maintenance improvement. We build and implement a plant-wide reliability operating system across the complete production chain — from log heating and extrusion presses to handling, ageing, surface treatment and utilities.
The transformation combines plant diagnostics, maintenance maturity assessment, asset criticality, failure-mode-based maintenance strategies, planning & scheduling, reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, critical-spares and MRO management, CMMS optimization, implementation and capability transfer.
We do not stop at recommendations. We work with the organization to implement the system on the shop floor, build internal capability and connect maintenance performance directly to production and business results.
The objective is not simply better maintenance. The objective is a stronger-performing plant.
- Higher Availability
- More Saleable Tonnes
- Lower Cost per Tonne
- Fewer Repeat Failures
- More Predictable Production
- Stronger Internal Capability
Our philosophy
Beyond the Machine.
Because Successful Production Requires More Than Equipment.
A machine can be technically excellent and still be the wrong investment. A project can have good equipment and still fail because of poor interfaces. A plant can have high-quality machinery and still suffer from weak maintenance, incorrect tooling, process instability or inadequate operational preparation.
That is why ECONS looks beyond individual machines. We consider the complete industrial system:
The objective is not simply to supply equipment. The objective is to create a better-performing industrial operation.

Independent by design
The Right Solution Matters More Than the Brand.
ECONS is not built around one equipment manufacturer, one technology or one sourcing country. This independence allows us to evaluate alternatives based on the customer's actual requirements.
Depending on the project, we can compare multiple technologies and suppliers against standardized technical requirements and evaluate them from both a technical and commercial perspective.
Our decisions consider:
- Performance
- Investment Cost
- Operating Cost
- Energy
- Maintenance
- Service
- Spare Parts
- Delivery
- Risk
- Lifecycle Value
Because the lowest purchase price is not always the best investment — and the most sophisticated machine is not always the right machine.
Engineering meets commercial reality
Technical Decisions Must Make Business Sense.
Industrial projects cannot be evaluated purely by engineers or purely by procurement. Technology, investment and operational performance are connected.
ECONS therefore brings together:
- Engineering Understanding
- Supplier-Market Knowledge
- Commercial Evaluation
- Plant Experience
This allows us to convert complex technical alternatives into clear industrial decisions.
We believe in measurable value
A Project Is Not Successful Because Equipment Has Been Delivered.
It is successful when the investment produces the required:
- Output
- Quality
- Availability
- Productivity
- Reliability
- Return on Investment
That philosophy influences everything we do — from selecting a press to engineering a cooling process, from designing a die-shop machine to specifying an extrusion stem, from comparing suppliers to transforming a maintenance organization.
The Result Has to Work on the Shop Floor.
Our approach
Understand. Challenge. Engineer. Deliver.
Understand
We first understand the customer's products, process, equipment and business objectives.
Challenge
We question assumptions, supplier proposals and established practices where better alternatives may exist.
Engineer
We convert requirements into technically sound, commercially viable solutions.
Deliver
We support implementation until the solution creates value in real operation.
