Die Disassembling & Butt Cutting Machine

Engineered around your dies

The die is hydraulically pressed out of the ring and transferred to the butt-cutting section, where a powerful hydraulic shear removes the remaining aluminium butt in approximately 20 seconds. The principle is controlled hydraulic die ejection and mechanical shearing of the residual aluminium.

Conventional bandsaw cutting creates an ongoing chain of consumables and secondary operations: blades wear, the band needs lubrication, and the process produces aluminium chips that must be extracted, collected and often compacted. This solution eliminates sawing completely. The aluminium stays concentrated in the solid butt end and can be handled directly as remelt material.

Reference press-out systems are designed with forces up to 150 tons and automatic die support adjustment by diameter; documented press-rest-shear systems reach die diameters up to 900 mm.

Key benefits

  • Two machines combined in one
  • Approx. 25 second die disassembling
  • Approx. 20 second butt shearing
  • Integrated press-out and butt cutting
  • Eliminates conventional bandsaw cutting
  • No saw-blade replacement and no saw lubrication
  • No aluminium chips, extraction or compaction
  • Reduced operating and consumable costs
  • Cleaner die-shop environment
  • Reduced material handling
  • Hydraulic and controlled die ejection
  • Optional die press-in function for a 3-in-1 workflow
